Dilution-Extractive System

The Teledyne ML®675 dilution-extractive system can be used in 40CFR75, 40CFR60, and process control applications. In this system, sample is prepared for analysis by diluting stack gas with clean, dry instrument air at the probe location. Since no moisture is removed with dilution, measurements for SO2, NOx, CO, THC and CO2 are made on a wet basis.

Like its conventional extractive twin, the Teledyne ML®675 is also engineered to provide a modular and cost effective solution for source monitoring while still allowing for client customization. Stack flow and opacity can be easily incorporated into the two bay, 19 inch rack mount cabinet to complement the CEMS.

Compliance Opacity / Dust Monitor

Teledyne Monitor Labs LightHawk® Opacity/Dust Monitor offers advanced technology for outstanding performance and reliability as an opacity, optical density or dust concentration monitor.

Optical Head and Retro-reflector Assemblies

The optical head and retro-reflector assemblies are housed in rugged aluminum investment castings. The optical head contains the active electronics necessary to produce an electro-dynamic pulsed LED light source across the stack/duct to the retro-reflector assembly and to detect transmitted light. The sealed optical head features a Lexan keypad interface for easy interrogation and control of operating parameters while on the stack. The miniature retro-reflector in combination with an overfill light source precludes misalignment concerns on the stack or duct.

Electrodynamic Pulsed LED Light Source

The LightHawk® utilizes a patented solid-state light emitted diode that is electro-dynamically pulsed by an oscillator at a frequency of 2500Hz. Unlike slowly chopped incandescent and laser light systems, this pulsed light source enables guaranteed rejection of sunlight as well as artificial light sources. The LED has a proven life in excess of ten years and is warranted by Teledyne Monitor Labs for eight years. This extended life ensures Teledyne Monitor Labs LED based opacity monitor is at the least expensive system to operate in the world. With our op-amp and special electro-optical bench design, the LED light source is extremely uniform with Ultralow drift and requires no other light source for stabilization. Ideal for all opacity applications.

LaserHawk® Model 360

Particulate Matter Monitor

The LaserHawk® was designed to comply with the performance specification

for continuous particulate monitors. A complete system includes an optical head, purge system, enhanced remote panel fulfilling all QA/QC requirements. The optical head is built of heavy gauge aluminum parts and finished with acid-resistant enamel paint. All exposed hardware is stainless steel. The rugged design and extremely low heat generation allows operation over a wide range of ambient temperatures. It is built to withstand the typical hostile environment associated with outdoor industrial applications, including substantial shock and vibration.

TML has paralleled the design of the LaserHawk® from its Model 560 LightHawk® compliance opacity monitor and the UltraFlow-150 Ultrasonic Flow Monitor. All utilize the same Enhanced Remote Panel; communication protocols, and mounting hardware. This saves the customer valuable inventory dollars and permits the use of spares on a variety of equipment.
